RSBAC + grsec

Postby michaeld » Thu Apr 04, 2002 1:37 am

RSBAC and grsec are almost irreconciliable. It would be conceivable to the two to cooperate, but it would be a massive undertaking. We have our own ACL system, and if you
use grsecurity, you should use our ACL system. If you
have any particular reason that you love RSBAC and think
its superior to our system, I'll add/improve on those
features you desire. Hope I helped

i use rsbac because of rc, auth and mac capabilities. i dont see how either acl system is superior, but untill grsec provides auth and rc, i have a need for rsbac as well. truth be told, i was mainly using grsec for proc restrictions and buffer overflow protection.

We support MAC as well as kernel authentication, and
role based acess control will be added by grsec 2.0.
