can you enable SANITIZE but boot the kernel with pax_sanitize_slab=off on the command line?

yes tested with:

[ 0.000000] Command line: root=/dev/xvda1 pax_sanitize_slab=off

and it crashed...

can you post the kernel log you got? or is it the same as before?

edit: is this something easy to reproduce? like, what is the root filesystem exactly, can you share it perhaps?

of course XFS is not corrupted - it boot well after disabling PAX_MEMORY_SANITIZE

i have never done that before but it seems i can export image to formats: "Citrix Xen, Microsoft Hyper-V, or VMware vSphere" according to amazon docs. But i think - if you have running Xen somewhere i can post my config - or kernel itself - probably the fastest way. Image i am using is Debian 8 with XFS root and that's pretty much all.

As you can reproduce the bug with slab sanitize disabled but no longer with the feature as a whole disabled via kconfig, I'd say it's related to the page based sanitization.
