Learning Log file size

Postby RandyO » Tue Aug 17, 2004 9:05 am

I checked the size of the learning log file and it is 1.4G in size. Will this file be removed or modified when I put gradm to active?

Thanks

This is just a guess, seeing that I haven't had the chance to muck with that...

The learning log file is just that: a log file. gradm will parse the file but will not remove it. After you have used gradm to build the policy file, you can compress it or delete it as you see fit.

I doubt that you will be able to generate rules from a log file that large. I'm still working on several improvements that will reduce both the memory and disk consumption of the learning process.
