grsecurity patch for 2.6.8 and 2.6.9 kernels

Postby disfunct » Wed Dec 01, 2004 12:31 pm

I have been digging around on the site a bit and read posts from some number of months ago saying there were some issues with the 2.6.8 kernel that broke lots of stuff in PaX. This was delaying the release of grsecurity patches for 2.6.8 kernels. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel regarding this? I know it was said before that "a 2.6.8 patch may not be coming soon", but 3 months later, is there any idea if/when a new patch may be released for the 2.6.8 and/or 2.6.9 kernel? I am not trying to compain about the patch not bring released, I am just curious about what is planned for these kernels.

Thanks!

yes, there is, i've got a preliminary port to 2.6.9 to work, but there's still some cleanup left to do, so a release won't be coming this week at least.

Do you have text-patches for pax or for whole grsecurity?
No matter what, I'm interested in testing, can you put it online somewhere?
