psyBNC and grsecurity

Postby koxta » Sun Apr 27, 2003 3:38 pm

Hi... When I try to run psybnc i get the following message in my /var/log/messages file:

Apr 27 23:41:11 main kernel: grsec: From 192.168.1.3: signal 11 sent to (psybnc:31333) UID(501) EUID(501), parent (init:1) UID(0) EUID(0)

I tried to run it as a superuser. I also tried to chown to adm group (GID = 4, that's the one I had set in my kernel config as a privileged group). No use :-(. What should I do to force my psybnc to run ?

Regards,

The signal 11 (sigsegv) isn't being caused by grsecurity. grsecurity is only letting you know that the program was sent this signal. This means there is a bug in the application.
