Frontend to gradm

Postby troubled » Wed Jan 19, 2005 8:46 am

I just finished reading the post brad made about rfc on a quick start guide and it got me thinking...what about a frontend to gradm to allow configuring the policies?

What I had in mind was something simple as far as eyecandy is concerned (maybe something like links or mc?) that would have built in help on flags and would present you with a menu that would allow you to browse to files/dir's for the subject, manage roles and transitions, change pax settings etc. I know that setting subject modes would be a lot easier if I had onscreen help beside each applicable (and non conflicting) subject mode.

Do any of you see a need for such a utility? Also, if such a utility were to be developed, what would be a good system to use to display it (ie: ncurses based, perl + simple text menu, etc.) that would be easily portable to every system that grsec has been ported to?

Anyways, just want to hear your feedback. I made a poll, answer if you can, thanks.

PS - Nice project!
